Amuse-Bouche

  • Bind item from Crazy Days and Nights: "This C list movie actress with A list name recognition who used to be kind of a big deal, but now is only a big deal in her mind chain smokes constantly when she is doing any kind of photo shoot. The reason? Her goal is to make the clothes smell so bad that the designer or magazine will give them all to her for free."

If she were alive today, even Helen Keller would know this is Lindsay Lohan. What a white-trash move eh? Reeking up the clothes so she'll get them for free. Maybe because Lohan's never heard of drycleaning, she figures the design houses and publications are similarly ignorant.

Speaking of blind, here's some accessibility body art for your perusal. It rather looks like chickenpox to me but hey, I'm not the one reading it. Tattoos should never be for other people so why would it be any different for the visually impaired?: (

  • The Malawi court ruled that Madonna can’t abscond with wee Mercy James, another of its orphans, because Ms. Ciccone is not a resident of the African country, not because she's flashed her beaver to the world, french-kissed Britney Spears, screwed Vanilla Ice or runs her household like Ilsa She-Wolf of the SS.

This ‘technicality’ presented no problem with her first Malawian acquisition David Banda but it’s a real fly in Madge’s  ‘roid ointment now.  She’s since left the country and flown home for Passover with no word yet of filing an appeal of the ruling. She needs to fortify herself with some Mogen David, channel Moshe Dayan and plan her Kabbalah counter-attack.

I’ve said it before: I find it offensive when members of the Western elite feel they can just swoop into the Third World nations and cherry pick from the seemingly endless supply of disadvantaged children of colour like an exotic handbag or the poster children for their tax shelters – I mean charitable organizations.  I’m not sure which is worse but I usually tend to think exploitation is.

The best way to help these children is to help the societies they were born into and help them to remain, and fully participate, in their national life, culture and heritage. I don't consider it particularly enfranchising for the child to do otherwise but maybe celebrities are just more enlightened than I am.

  • E-Online reports that Rumer Willis is set to play a prostitute on the TV show Medium which stars Patricia Arquette (I love that little snaggle-tooth. She’s so spacey looking but in an innocent kind of way. There’s nothing more ludicrously charming than the Arquettes. I’d like to take them ALL home and line them up on a shelf in my bedroom).  Back to Rumer:  I don’t like it when she’s in front of my eyes because her face looks like a photoshopped combination of a bunch of Picassos, so I won’t be watching.

  1. I think Rumer looks great "in motion"... like, in still pics, she looks terrible, but in movies and television, she's actually really cute.

  2. The blondeness is not helping Rumer.

I'm tired of Madonna. Tired of her stealing kids out of third world countries so she can drape them over her arm while she skitters in and out of her Kabbalah meetings. I'm tired of Kabbalah too - for these people to identify themselves as Jewish is annoying. You don't just steal what you like from a religion and then pretend you're practicing it. Oh wait - that's what she's doing with her adoptions too, isn't it? Steal the kid and show them off publicly and then dump them on the nanny.

  3. I think Rumer trips herself up with that "sexy face" that she does.

  4. I have no issue with anyone who wants to adopt and give a child a chance at life much better than they have, but what pisses me off about Madonna is that she SO CLEARLY thinks that laws and regulations were meant for the LITTLE people of the world, obviously of which she is not. That kind of entitlement, especially when so many of them that are the worst about it came from such lesser backgrounds, just aggravates the hell out of me.

  5. Agree Diva, The rules for the rest of us don't apply to Madonna. What the hell, I am whooped when I watch my grand-kids, what is she thinking? Relying on nannies is not the way to raise children.

I do feel sorry for Rumer, and Syko is right, the hair color works against her.
I am in the club with Rumer who had at least one gorgeous parent that don't hold a candle to them in looks. That's the way the gene pool goes sometimes, you work with what you're handed......
