Sticky Vinyl Saturday

Finally, a cover song that's recently come to my attention that doesn't make me feel like I've had shit smeared in my ear.

Warm Leatherette
by The Normal was released as a B-side in 1978 and was inspired by J.G. Ballard's novel Crash, which David Cronenberg adapted in his 1996 film.
Cronenberg's Crash, not to be confused with Paul Haggis' 2006 film of the same name (how he got away with that I don't know), is a disturbing piece of car-crash fetish celluloid that I've seen and would watch again because I'm fundamentally bent...*shrug*...Personally, maimed people don't do it for me but the sexual sub-culture is out there.

This is a fav of mine going way back and here it is done with love by Trent Reznor, Peter Murphy and Jeordie White:
