Amuse-Bouche
- Supermodel Natasha Ellie is reportedly the 'other woman' behind the altercation between Chris Brown and Rihanna that resulted in his devastating assault on the pop singer (entertainment.oneindia). Apparently this woman has been lurking around for awhile and Rihanna even tried to reach out to her but Natasha denied everything. THAT'S classic homewrecker behaviour, they get off on 'clowning' the man's partner. Here's the ho-bag's MySpace page if you're interested. Rihanna, there are plenty more fish in the sea so lose the man-child and focus on yourself.
- In an earlier post I asked the question whether Jade Goody degraded herself or was being brave in her very public battle in her last days with cervical cancer (ladies, get your pap tests). Syko commented quite rightly that it was neither, rather it could be said that she was acting with her sons' futures in mind because The Telegraph UK reports that Jade left her sons 4 million pound which is over $8 million dollars CDN. I admit I didn't really know her story but for a woman who overcame a lot only to lose her life at such a young age (27), leaving behind two young children, touches a chord in all of us - or at least it should. The last part of the article is particularly moving. Little children are so wise, and often know exactly what to say. Bless their hearts, they're lucky to have such a devoted mum who tried to do her best by them, and succeeded. Rest well, Jade.
I'm addicted to nail polish. At last count, I had at least ten different shades of blue, alone. I always buy the cheap stuff, though, so it ends up chipping in about an hour. But for me, it's the application process that's the most fun. I like to do it in front of the TV after the boys are in bed. It's become almost a calming process ... Christ, I'm really rambling now, aren't I? OK, I'll stop.
ReplyDeletePs: I remember the Circle Jerks! Do I get a prize? If so, I'll take the cash equivalent, thanks.
My daughter Jenni's favorite color is blue, and for the past 30+ years, her toes and sometimes her fingers are blue-tipped. She would be surprised to learn she's stylish.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the lil glimpse into Codzilla evenings! lol Ramble away!
ReplyDeleteBtw, I have no idea who the Circle Jerks are. But one time when I was a freshman in high school, and really rather shy and goody-goody, a senior girl asked me if I was a circle jerk and I was soooo embarrassed because I didn't know what one was. That was over 20 years ago and I STILL remember it!
LOL Diva, obviously neither did this girl for asking you that :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this happened to anyone but when I was in grade 4-5 or so, the "thing" was for somebody to go up to a random kid and tell them that "your epidermis is showing"...
nearly everybody would immediately look at their crotch.
I'm so backward, I thought a circle jerk was an event, not a person.
ReplyDeleteOh, no, she meant to embarrass me... I developed early and developed WELL and for some reason females think that girls with big tits are sluts, she was kinda shocked to learn I was a clueless little church girl! The girl and I later became friends, lol.
ReplyDeleteDiva, I hope you didn't have to put up with any bra-snapping. I went to jr. high with a girl who developed early and she was terrorized at lunch hour...and everybody said she was a slut. Kids are downright nasty.
ReplyDeleteI was really popular in Jr. High (cheerleader and all that) so I wasn't picked on then... but high school (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th) grade was hell... I had put on alot of weight and had HUGE-MONGOUS boobs... boys by that time had moved beyond bra strap snapping and straight to full on unauthorized groping!
